It's All True - A Personal Post

Everything they tell you- it's all true. Sure, I don't get more than an hour of sleep at a time here and there and yes, I'm tied to my baby who needs to eat every two hours. His diapers stink big time and his laundry piles up fast. It is harder to get in and out of the store when all you need is a loaf of bread. And yes, sometimes it is 4 in the afternoon before I get to take a shower.

But what's also true is that we have a new love in our lives. It's also true when people say, "It's something you don't understand until you have kids of your own." It's true that it's a love that you can't describe, it comes from somewhere inside of you that you didn't know existed and it outweighs all the challenges. It's a love that I believe comes from somewhere other than this world and a love that I'm looking forward to watching grow with our son. I won't say much more because... it's indescribable.

These photos were snapped by Daniel a few minutes after Bennett was born and I will treasure them forever. We've already sat down and looked through them dozens of times, reminiscing and remembering how magical those moments were. It's something we will never forget. I'm so grateful that we have the technology to be able to share such intricate details in the time that passed so quickly from us. I wasn't worried about getting the photos and even hesitated to ask Daniel to take a few because I am a big believer in enjoying the moment and creating a memory which is just as important, if not more important than having it frozen in time. But I am so glad that we have this to show to our son one day when maybe he is awaiting the arrival of his own child.

Thank you to all of our clients and family and friends who have been so kind, so loving and gracious, so caring and patient with us through this entire process. And those who continue to do so as we learn and journey our way through this time as parents. Besides being a wife, being a mother is by far my favorite roll and I know Daniel would say the same about being a father.

As we settle into these new roles as parents along side being business owners, we ask for your continued patience and grace. I've learned in the last few weeks that that is sometimes the key to my sanity and ability to keep pushing forward. We appreciate each and every sweet email, text and phone call we've received from you guys about Bennett. We are so blessed to have the people in our lives that we do.
